Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website and to handyman services you request from The Clintonville Handyman. By using the website, asking for an estimate, or hiring us for a job, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or request service.

Services

The Clintonville Handyman provides handyman and home-repair services for homes in Clintonville and nearby Central Ohio communities. The work for a particular job is the work we agree to with you. Some requests are not a fit, including work that should be done by a licensed specialist. When that is the case, we will say so.

Estimates, Pricing, and Payment

An estimate is based on your description, any photos you send, and the conditions we can see. If the work differs from what was described or visible, the price can change. We will tell you before doing work that is outside what we agreed.

The price for a job is the price we agree on for that job. Payment is due as agreed for that job. These terms do not set an hourly rate, a deposit, or a payment schedule.

Scheduling, Access, and Cancellations

Visits are scheduled by agreement. Please tell us as soon as you can if you need to change or cancel a visit. We may reschedule if we cannot safely reach the work, or if access is required and no one is available to provide it.

Customer Responsibilities

You agree to describe the work accurately, tell us about hazards you know of, and provide safe access to the work area. Please secure pets and, when you can, move belongings that would block the work. Request only work you are allowed to approve.

Materials and Existing Conditions

Homes can have conditions that are not visible at first, including earlier repairs, rot, moisture, or unusual construction. Those conditions can change the time, materials, or scope of a job. We will tell you when we find something that changes the agreed work.

Materials depend on availability. A warranty that comes with a product, if any, is the manufacturer's warranty.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent Ohio law allows, The Clintonville Handyman is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost use of your home. Liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. These terms do not limit any liability that Ohio law does not allow us to limit.

No Warranties

We do the agreed work with reasonable care. Aside from a specific promise we make in writing for a particular job, other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed to the extent Ohio law allows.

A repair does not promise that the same problem will never return, or that existing finishes and hidden conditions will match or perform like new work.

This website describes the business and how to reach us. Information on the site is general. It is not a promise to take a particular job, and it is not advice tailored to your home. Please use the site for its intended purpose, and do not attempt to interfere with it or submit information you are not allowed to share.

Intellectual Property

The text, photographs, and other content on this website belong to The Clintonville Handyman unless stated otherwise. You may view that content for personal use. Please ask before copying it for a commercial purpose.

Third-Party Links or Services

This website and the text-message program may rely on other companies, such as a website host or your mobile carrier. Those companies have their own terms. We are not responsible for their services or policies.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, except where the law requires a different forum.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page will change. Updated terms apply to use of the website after that date. A job already agreed follows the terms in place when that job was agreed, unless we both agree to a change.

SMS program

The Clintonville Handyman offers an SMS program for conversational and transactional text messages about inquiries, estimates, scheduling, project updates, and service. The program does not send promotional or marketing messages.

You can opt in on the SMS opt-in page. The SMS consent checkbox is separate from the rest of the form, optional, and unchecked unless you check it. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
